Production Blog #5: Initial Editing
Once I finished recording, we went to edit the Title. The first thing I looked for was whether it reached the time limit. Some of the clips, like the practice videos, were cut short so that we would still fit the time. The first part of the editing was done on my iPad at home. I used to put all the clips into one file to make things easier. I noticed in that timeline that some of the other clips also went over the time limit. With that, I decided to take out some unnecessary things and tidy up the Title. Other than the throwing scenes, I cut down scenes like the warmups. I also cut down the scene where the walking started. After some of the main clips were edited, I transferred the clips to CapCut on my phone. With CapCut, I first started out by adding some special effects to parts of the Title. I also added subtitles as well. The effects were very cool. After adding all of these, I really saw the Title coming together. However, I wasn't done; I still had a lot more to do. I went and edited the clips in even more detail because CapCut allows for a lot of personalization. I even added some different music at first, but I decided to remove it. I came to the conclusion that for the some parts, I would have them cut from the title to keep time. Then, I added up some final touches. With those finishing touches, my Title was looking nice!
