Sports Drama: Ford v Ferrari
What conventions of the genre does this movie have?
- Ford v Ferrari dives into being a underdog which is really relatable to me as an athlete, along with a solid coach to athlete relationship which is very key in athletics. The film builds up with tension and really shows the importance of sticking to your craft and being able to have good teamwork.
What Conventions did I like?
- I enjoyed then underdog aspect because as an athlete who has been doubted a lot it is nice to see that I wasn't the only one and there are plenty of people in that situation and being able to see how they overcame it. I also have a really good Coach - Athlete relationship and it means a lot to me, so it's nice to see in the film.
What conventions did not appeal to me?
- The main thing that didn't appeal to me was the fact that it was a racing movie, and a lot of it was very slow paced and technical. I like quick action and faced pace style, which is something I'd be going for in my final task.
