Production Blog #1: Preparing
When preparing to film our music video, I found it to be very stressful, something I didn't expect. My groupmate and I were hoping to get everything done in a timely fashion, but that turned out to not be the case. We were going to shoot in early November, but we couldn't. Constant storms and weather problems piled on delays. Florida weather is always changing, and it never wants to match up with a day we want. The park we wanted to film at is a dirt field, and it becomes very muddy after a little rain. That's not safe for running or playing football. It also isn't safe for our equipment, as it can be destroyed. Trying to prepare our CAMS was also hard when we didn't know where or when we were going to film. I also had trouble finding a time that matched my own responsibilities. My school days take up the morning and most afternoons. And when I get home, I have a lot of homework I need to do. Thursdays and Fridays I work part-time time which takes away those days. And my groupmate and I each have different sports we play that take up our time. Each time we were going to film, something came up. Thankfully in the middle of November, things cleared. Even though I had a lot of homework and felt stressed, we made it work to get ready by Nov. 18th. Once everything was prepared, we were able to film smoothly. Reflecting, preparing was the hardest part, but we were able to get through it!
