Andrew's Pitch
Pitch 1: "Lonely Child" by NBA Youngboy.
This is about a individual talking about his journey to purpose. I would definetly like to film this music video because it tells a true story filled of emotion and growth, and I feel like it can connect with a lot of people, especially those who may feel misunderstood. I am thinking of using close up shots and real looking moments to make the video feel powerful. This music video will inspire people to keep going no matter what. Even if there are hard times currently happening. It will showcase a deep and personal visual that can show anyone how to turn their pain into a strength.
Pitch 2: "Street Runner" by Rod Wave.
This is about an artist who is focused on his isolation and loneliness that he had when he got successful. I don't think I would want to film the video. While the message of the song can be powerful, and if I had to do it i'd use it as my backup. I think it's a little too much of a serious or emotional tone for me. I like songs that have more energy and uplifting, instead of a slow paced and dreadful song. It is also harder to film because I would have to pretend to be someone I'm not. Depicting sad scenes can be hard when you have no vision and you really aren't sad. And I'd have to figure out a way to transcribe the emotional message. In the end, the concept is good, but I don't feel like it's something I'd work on.
Chosen Video:The Chosen Video I will use is the first one, "Lonely Child" by NBA Youngboy.
