Filming Blog: Holiday Park.

On Sunday the 28th, I began filming with my partner. Both of us were there so the plan was able to go smooth. As the director, I was in charge of bringing all the equipment and footballs for the filming. I had my Wilson football used for bad kicks and the Nike one for good kicks. I made sure to tell my partner who was recording, all the specific angles and scenes once more so the film would be crisp. The park was a little busy at first so we had to wait on the bench for a field to clear up. Once a field opened up, we began the filming process, beginning with our first scene. I set up the Wilson football to kick and made sure I prepared to miss, and I took a few misses for the commercial. We are going to edit through and pick which one is the best. With the second scene we switched who was recording and I had my partner give me the Nike football to try to use. The first time we started filming the good kicks I wasn't in my flow state and kicking the way I wanted too. We had to refilm and I had to take some extra practice kicks so it would look like the Nike ball made a huge difference. Once we re filmed the scene I was kicking really clean balls and I was satisfied with my performance. That was really the main refilm or hardship that happened during the video as well. I continued to direct my partner on what to do and how and where to film to make the commercial look good. I didn't have to use a tripod or any other type of device because my Partner was recording while I kicked. Overall, the filming experience took around 1 hour and a half to complete. The main part we have to do now is go over the film and begin to edit. The whole process was very smooth and I am very happy with it. I am glad my partner is who he is because he is a great one!
